Posters for May Roosevelt’s radio show LTDM80J (Le Tour du Monde en 80 Jours). May Roosevelt, composer and thereminist from Thessaloniki, revisits Jules Verne’s book ‘Around the world in 80 days’ and explores local music from the past and the present following the route of the book’s heroes in 8 episodes. The poster for each episode retains the same graphic elements, with changes in the color pallete, the informational elements and the maps. The colors for each poster are symbolic, inspired by the main colors of the visiting regions or the major events of each episode. Colors of the desert and the warm sun and the sea breeze for the 2nd episode tha features music from West Africa; orange spice and bright green for India; futuristic purple for Singapore; a resemblance to the flag of Japan for the heros visit to Yokohama; the colors of the american desert as they arrive arrival on the American east, followed by a cool color palette with snow whites and greys as they go through the frozen landscapes. The poster series that begun in black on the first episode, ends with a poster in bright pinks and reds, symbolic of the transformation of the hero as he returned back home in love.
