An abstract expression of the typical architectural Cretan heritage, from the Minoan palaces to the humble rural houses, is illustrated on the label of the wine Efivos. “Efivos” in Greek means “the adolescent”, as the name of those wines is dedicated to the teenage dreams of the winemaker Nikos Gavalas at the Mediterranean island of Crete. As a young man he used to hang around in the vineyard, at the ruins of a Frankish farmhouse and dream of his own winery and all the wines he would create in the future.
